Band:
St. Thomas has two bands, our 5th grade Meteor Band and 6th-8th grade Comet Band.
In Meteor Band, students have the opportunity to learn a woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument. No previous music instruction is necessary. Meteor Band meets once per week and band members also receive one 30 minute small group lesson each week during the school day. Our 6th-8th grade Comet Band meets twice per week and students receive one 40 minute small group lesson each week during the school day. The Comet Band also performs at our two concerts, as well as at some school assemblies and special events. The St. Thomas Band also has the opportunity to perform at the Spring Arts Celebration at the Courthouse.
Choir
The St. Thomas Youth Choir is open to all students 3rd-8th grade who enjoy singing! Choir meets once a week before school. The Youth Choir sings at All School Masses, monthly Baptism Masses, Christmas Eve Mass, the First Communion Masses and other special Liturgies, as well as special events and services at school. The Youth Choir also has the opportunity to sing at the Spring Arts Celebration at the Courthouse.
