Progressive Kindergarten Program
The St. Thomas Kindergarten curriculum is based upon the Common Core standards using both a theme-based approach coupled with supplemental materials and hands-on learning. Our Kindergarten classrooms are engaging environments where students become exposed to math, language, reading, foreign language, prayer, art, and music as a regular part of their day. These subjects are carefully balanced with monitored free time allowing students to explore different activities and modes of learning. Most importantly, our teachers create projects and activities to make learning fun for our Kindergartners. From the annual “Q & U” wedding ceremony to the celebration of the 100th day of school, our Kindergarten classrooms are simply an exciting place to be!
