• Raffle
  During our Catholic Schools Week Assembly, students will play games! To be eligible, you must purchase a raffle ticket for $0.25 or 5/$1.00. Tickets will be sold in homeroom beginning this Thursday. Students may purchase as many tickets as they wish. All proceeds from this fun fundraiser will be donated to the Monsignor Watson Scholarship Fund. Thank you!

• John Lancaster Spalding Scholarship Fund Grants:

  Tuition assistance scholarship grants from the endowment fund established as a result of the Diocese of Peoria ROOTED IN FAITH Campaign and named in honor of Archbishop Spalding, will be available for the 2012 - 2013 school year for students enrolled in or intending to enroll in grades kindergar-ten through 12 in any Catholic school located in the Diocese of Peoria whose families are members of a Catholic parish in the diocese. All grants will be based on financial need objectively assessed. Infor-mation about the grants and application materials may be obtained from any Catholic elementary or secondary school in the Diocese of Peoria or on the Diocesan website www@cdop.org: Click on EDU-CATION; then on OFFICE OF CATHOLIC SCHOOLS; and then on SPALDING SCHOLAR-SHIPS. Families of students currently receiving grants are reminded that all grants are for one year only, and anyone seeking to renew a grant for 2012 - 2013 must reapply. Deadline for the completed ap-plication is February 15, 2012. Notification of grant awards will be made by mid-April.

• Accelerated Reader
  This is the book wizard site. You can plug in a students reading level and then search for books under a certain category that they are interested. So for example, if you click leveled search, you can say that you have a 4th grader, you want a chapter book, and they enjoy adventure books. When you click search, it will pull up a list of books for you, tell you the level, interest level, and whether or not is an AR book. Just wanted to pass this along!
