This Commission has been established to promote the participation of members of St. Thomas Parish in the educational mission of the Church, and in particular of this Parish, to encourage dialogue between the Pastor and the members of the Parish, and to recommend to the Pastor policy on educational matters. The Commission meets the last Tuesday of every month.
Tom Bucklar, Commission President
A member of the commission, Tom spent 17 years in Catholic education with a BS in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University. He currently works in Caterpillar's marketing and distribution business area. Tom and his wife Tessie, a St. Thomas alum, are parents of three St. Thomas students.
Dr. Sean Matheson, Commission Member
A former member of Peoria Public Schools Board of Education, Dr. Matheson works in Caterpillar’s Information Analytics division and is an adjunct professor at Bradley University. He graduated from Bradley University (B.A.) and from the University of Illinois (Ph.D.). He and his wife Celeste are the parents of one former and one current St. Thomas student, and have been St. Thomas parishioners since 2000. He has served on the Commission since 2008.
Robert Ferlmann, Commission Member
Bob joined the education commission in October of 2011. He previously served on the St. Thomas Parish Council and the St. Thomas Finance Committee. Bob attended Bradley University for both his undergraduate and graduate education. Bob is the chief financial officer at Coulter Companies, Inc. Bob and Megan have two children at St. Thomas and two at Peoria Notre Dame.
Ann Kube, Commission Member
Ann was new to the commission in 2011, but is a St. Thomas School and PNDHS alum. She holds a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from Saint Louis University and acts as a consulting therapist for Prairie Spine and Pain Institute which she and her husband, Dr. Richard Kube, own. In addition to work on multiple classroom and parish committees at St. Thomas, Ann serves on the Boards of Lakeview Museum, and the Peoria and Illinois State Medical Society Alliances. Ann and Rich have a 2nd grader and twin kindergarteners in the school. As the daughter of a former St. Thomas School teacher, Ann is sometimes known as "Mrs. Pfeiffer's oldest daughter."
Andy Piper, Commission Member
Andy has served on the Commission since 2008. He has worked as a School Psychologist since 1994 with Woodford County Special Education. Daily responsibilities include psychological and educational evaluation, mental health screening, counseling and consultation. Andy earned his Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 1990 from Illinois State University and Masters in School Psychology in 1992 from Illinois State University. Andy and his wife Susan are proud graduates of Bergan High School class of 1986. Andy and Susan have one student at St. Thomas.
Jeff Randolph, Commission Member
A commission member, Jeff graduated from Western Illinois University with a bachelor of arts degree. Jeff's career has been in executive leadership in the consulting engineering and construction industries. Jeff is currently Director of Business Development of Hile Group. Jeff and Missy have three children at St. Thomas and are very active with parish activities. Jeff also sits on the St. Thomas Parish facility commission.
Bridget Sherman, Commission Secretary
Bridget has served on the Commission since 2009. She has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Educational Administration. After eight years teaching 6th grade Language Arts, Reading and Math at Roosevelt Magnet School, she moved to Von Steuben Middle School and was Assistant Principal for two years. She is currently a stay at home mom with 2 students at St. Thomas.
Mia Woolsey, Commission Member
Mia is very actively involved parent at St. Thomas. She is a Parent Ambassador for new families and volunteers in many different areas within the school. She graduated from Illinois Central College and Illinois State University with degrees in Communications. She and her husband, Bob, have three children at St. Thomas. Mia joined the Commission in 2011.
Aisling Hinderliter, Commission Member
Aisling has served on the Commission since 2013. She has a Masters in Chemical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology and an MBA from Bradley University. Aisling currently works at Caterpillar Inc. as an Engineering Manager. She and her husband, Derick, have two children at St. Thomas. Aisling volunteers at a variety of school activities.
